5 Tea Lovers Tell Their Story on Why They Drink Herbal Teas

Herbal teas are more than just a simple drink for many of us, including myself. I love nearly all herbal teas, and drinking a few cups every day is a habit for me. For me and many other tea enthusiasts, it means a moment of peace and reflection.

In this article, I’m gonna share with you the story of five herbal tea enthusiasts, including my personal story with herbal teas. I’m going to explore why tea lovers turned to herbal drinks, how it changed their lives, and which herbal tea is their favorite. From those who have just started drinking herbal tea to those who have been finding peace with each cup for years, everyone has a different story.

#1 My Story with Chamomile Tea

I always love hot drinks, especially chamomile, but when I face daily stress, the first thing that comes to my mind is this simple herbal tea that is perfect for managing stress.

Chamomile Tea

It was almost two years ago that one night after a long day at work, I decided to brew a cup of chamomile to relax. At first, it was just because of its soothing effect, but I gradually realized that my stomach seemed to be easier and my sleep was deeper. Now I almost have a habit of drinking one or two cups of chamomile tea and other herbal teas every day. Sometimes, I even talk to my friends about different flavors and brands.

My favorite herbal tea is always chamomile, and even if I am very busy, my night never ends without drinking a cup.

#2 Natalia’s Story with Peppermint Tea

Natalia started drinking peppermint tea when she was 35 or so. “My job was very stressful and my stomach always bothered me,” she says. “When I tried peppermint tea, I was amazed that it reduced my stress and made my digestion easier.”

Natalia drinks two to three cups a day, mostly in the morning before getting ready for work. She sometimes steeps a few fresh mint leaves and adds a little honey to improve the flavor and aroma. “When I drink peppermint tea, it feels like all the stress of the day is gone and I can focus more on my work,” she says.

#3 Bella’s story with Ginger Tea

Bella has always been looking for an alternative to coffee. She found ginger. “The coffee I used to drink in the morning no longer gave me the energy I needed. Sometimes even bothered my stomach. So, by recommendation of Mahin, I turned to ginger tea, and now I start my mornings with an energizing cup of ginger tea.

“Bella usually drinks two cups a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. She believes that ginger’s anti-inflammatory properties are also very beneficial for her health. “Ginger has made me more focused and less tired,” she says. She even adds honey to the tea to make the taste better.

#4 Elif’s Story with Rose Petal Tea

Elif is one of my close friends. She has been drinking rose petal tea since she was 28. “First of all, I drank it just for the taste of the rose flowers, but now I realize that both my skin and my peace of mind improve.”

Rose Petal Tea

Elif drinks one to two cups of rose petal tea a day, and she has a habit of drinking her tea in the afternoons with a book or music. She adds that when she has a stressful day, the first thing she does is brew this herbal tea because it instantly calms her down, allowing her to manager her stress.

Her favorite tea is always a blend of roses with green tea and honey for both the mild taste and health benefits.

#5 Ike’s Story with Bay Leaf Tea

Ike loves bay leaf tea because of his creative job. “I always have a cup of bay leaf tea by my side when I’m working on projects and need to concentrate,” he says. “I feel like it increases my focus and creativity, and it really does.”

Ike drinks a cup a day, sometimes adding a dash of cinnamon for a better flavor. Like Bella, he believes that herbal teas are a great alternative to coffee and have helped him manage his stress.
